“The Fall Of Babylon. The Fall Of Edom"

Reference: Isaiah Chapter 21

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but the word of God shall never pass away. That Egyptian kingdom with their great Pharaoh came to an end. The Babylonian kingdom with a great king, Nebuchadnezzar, came to an end. The Roman empire came to an end. Israel with their great King David, King Solomon, and their subsequent kings came to an end. There is only one king today. He is a king not only of Israel, but He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. There is only one kingdom that has no end, and that is the Kingdom of God. Jesus Christ, the second Adam,,is the King of this kingdom.

Let's read:

Isaiah 21:1-9 "The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land. [2] A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease. [3] Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it. [4] My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me. [5] Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield. [6] For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth. [7] And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed: [8] And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights: [9] And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground."

The problem with man is idolatry: looking for satisfaction in something made with the hands of man. At the Tower of Babel, men tried to build their way to God, trying to build their own kingdom, and God struck them with different languages. Babylon the great fell because they will not seek the true and living God but follow their own idols. The Great King made a statue for the whole nation to worship an idol, which everybody did except for three Hebrew boys, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.

In the end, this great city, Babylon, will deceive many, and God will judge it with a great judgment.

Revelation 14:8 "And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication."

It will be the city of all false doctrine, which is typified by the harlot.

Revelation 17:5 "And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."

Every false teaching or doctrine is a form of Babylon.

Revelation 18:21 "And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all."

God will bring judgement to every proponent of false doctrine. Only the Word of God will forever remain.

We continue our reading:

Isaiah 21:10-16 "O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you. [11] The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night? [12] The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come. [13] The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim. [14] The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled. [15] For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war. [16] For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:"

God will never judge a nation without first sending a warning. The gospel warning is going to every nation. There isn't one leader of a nation who is not aware of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Just like Egypt, Babylon, Rome, Edom. Every nation was judged, so shall every nation today be judged, but before judgment, God is sending the light of the gospel to all nations.

We conclude our reading:

Isaiah 21:17 "And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel hath spoken it."

The warning is clear. God has shed His blood for man to escape the blood of the first Adam. We do that by turning on our light of faith and placing that faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, the second Adam. God has done it all. No nation has an excuse it's an intentional rebellion, if any man or woman is not in Christ today.

Exit the blood of the first Adam. BELIEVE  and confess Christ, the second Adam, as we've revealed Him from the first Adam. No other kingdom shall stand, in Christ!
